We are on a fast-moving train toward Christmas, and the excitement is building! The kids keep telling me how many days until Christmas, and I immediately switch into task-master list mode in my brain. Their enthusiasm is contagious, which I am so thankful for during this year when the Christmas spirit is a little harder to find. We have been baking treats, caroling with neighbors (from a distance, of course), finishing up our shopping, wrapping, getting gifts ready for teachers, and trying to take some moments to just relax and enjoy the beautiful tree and lights and watch Christmas movies. We miss all of you so much, and we can't wait until we can gather and give big hugs again!

We only have a little bit of snow, but it was enough to go sledding on over the weekend. Frankie loved chasing the sleds down the hill, but she wasn't a fan of riding IN the sled! It was great to get out, and we are hoping we get some more snow to keep the winter outdoor activity options plentiful.
Frankie is definitely in the adolescent puppy phase, and while she is still super easy by puppy standards, she is having her naughty moments - chewing, stealing household items, selective listening... The naughtiest moment of the week was chewing up a red bath crayon on the carpet while we were putting the kids to bed. It looked like a crime scene! Luckily she is so cute and lovable, and when she got groomed yesterday, she entered a new realm of cute/ridiculous fluffiness, so she is quickly forgiven for her adolescent foibles.
