Last week was a cloudier and cooler week than we have been used to, and we were all a little bit aimless as we waited for the pickup day for our new little goldendoodle pup, Frankie on Sunday! It was like waiting for a baby, with a mixture of excitement and anxiety about the change to our family. We went hiking, to the park, did some crafts and even had a visit from the ice cream truck, but all we could think about was PUPPY!

Sunday finally arrived, and we went to church, then had a quick lunch and got on the road to Danville to pick up our baby puppy! The breeder (Wright's Mountain Goldens) was wonderful, and we were able to choose between two females - the smallest and the largest in the litter. We played with the puppies in the grass, and the smaller one came right up to Evie and gently started licking her face. Meanwhile, the larger puppy came over to me and started biting my hand. Evie had made her decision, and when the rest of us greeted Frankie, she had sweet little kisses for all of us. Our decision was an easy one! Frankie was so little (4 lbs 8 oz) that her collar didn't fit, and we had to stop at a hardware store on our way home to get her a tiny collar. She rode the whole way home on Evie's lap, and has been absolutely surrounded by new people and love since she got home. Evie and her neighborhood friends are the best puppy-sitting group I could imagine! We are smitten with our new addition.

Evie and Noah got to hold tiny English Cream Golden Retriever puppies that were only 5 days old!

Frankie would prefer to sleep here on Evie's bed, but she did great in her crate at night

This girl LOVES the grass. She will go out there, lay down, and fall asleep!

These two pals are going to have lots of fun together!

Noah is a little more reserved about Frankie, but he loves her too!
