Noah Time

We have lots of pictures of Noah this week, because Evie got to return to camp for a few days with Grandma and Grandpa!  She packed her own bags, and had a great time doing lots of swimming, fishing and hanging out at camp, and she video chatted with us every night to say goodnight.  We missed our girl, but we were glad she had that fun opportunity!

We took advantage of the time to have some play dates with Noah's friends while Evie was gone, and we had lots of fun adventures.  Noah and I made our first trip back to the playground since March, and he had fun playing, climbing and swinging.  We also played a ton of board games, went blueberry picking, swam, and went to the beach with a friend.  It was a fun and busy week, but I will say that I was pretty tired from keeping up with Noah, and I realized how much Evie plays with him when she is home!  Big Sis was missed by all of us.

It has been SO HOT (and humid!) that we have alternated between air conditioning and the pool for the past couple of days and we've been eating lots of cold treats.  Over the weekend, we visited with some high school friends and the kids played on an awesome inflatable water slide they had set up.  We are so glad to have those fun options for hot days!

We are enjoying the normalcy of summer, but the school year is looming in the back of our minds.  We found out last week that we can choose a hybrid schooling plan with 2 days in the classroom and 3 at home, or we can opt for a fully remote plan for the kids.  After discussing it, we have decided we will try the hybrid plan for the start of the school year.  There are tons of questions about the details of how it will all work, but we are taking this step forward and remaining flexible as the situation unfolds.  Good luck to everyone else who is trying to figure out how to navigate the start of the school year!
