Spring Break Quarantine-cation

Last week was Spring Break for the kids, which felt aimless at times.  We are glad to have a bit more routine this week with the return of school work (I'm not sure if the kids agree, though!).  When the weather was nice, we spent lots of time outside hiking, biking, gardening, and getting a safely-distanced maple creemee with friends.

First maple creemee of the season!

Creemees with friends...in our own separate cars
It was so nice to see other people!  As crazy as this seems, it was really fun!

We went on two 7-mile bike rides.  I was very impressed with the kids!

Not to be left out, Noah helped Aunt Pea plant peas

These two were quite a team of planters.  Cherry kept a close eye on Noah's work!

Good thing we haven't planted our garden yet - it's a construction site!

On the chilly days (it even snowed one day, ugh!), we chatted with friends via Zoom, baked bread, taught the kids to do laundry, played lots of music, did some Jazzercise, and tried to keep the kids from bickering (unsuccessfully).
April snow...at least it melts fast!

No-knead dutch oven bread is so easy and delicious!

Noah spends hours every day playing Bruder trucks

When not playing trucks, he plays Legos!

And this is why I exercise...I also like to eat! Ha ha!

This is what Friday Night "Ladies Night" looks like!  We had lots of laughs over Zoom!
Evie had a movie night with her friend...via Zoom (but it was actually really fun)
Girl Scouts meeting via Zoom.  We did science experiments together!

Here is everyone in their "home office" ready for a new week:
We have never been so glad for the office in the basement!

School time!
