Happy Quarantine Easter!

Happy Easter everyone!  We committed to making it a joyful family day, even though many of our normal traditions were not possible this year.  We made cookies, colored eggs, the Easter Bunny came and brought some treats, and then Evie came up with an egg hunt for our family!  She has obviously learned a lot from the years of participating in Grandpa Tom's epic egg hunt, because she did an awesome job creating a tricky scavenger hunt for the family.  Matt also put together a really fun egg hunt for me and the kids, and he too has been a successful understudy to Grandpa Tom!  We got dressed up and watched Easter Mass from St. Mike's, then connected with choir friends, family, and even visited Nana Mil (through the window).  For Easter Brunch, we swapped food with my family so that we could share in the cooking and all enjoy the same feast from our own homes.  It was a nice way to feel connected since we couldn't be together.  At the end of the day, Evie said that she was surprised how much fun we had, since everything is so different this year.  I'll call that a success!

The remainder of the week was spent doing the kids' home school work, playing and getting outside.  Aside from eating and sleeping, those are my goals these days.  Some days, we do extra stuff, like bake cookies or do a science project, but other days, we just get through.  Outside time is the biggest mood booster, so we do our best to make that happen every day.
