Ahh, vacation. It already seems like a distant memory! It's strange how the kids look forward to vacation for so long, but then after a week of being home, I question if they really enjoy it or not. The beginning of last week was fun - we enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and doing fun things that never seem to fit into the schedule when school is in session, like a trip to the library, rock climbing, baking, and lots of crafts and games.

Our Thanksgiving was pretty quiet. We hung out at home and did some cooking and baking, then joined my parents for dinner in the evening. We have lots to be thankful for!

The lack of schedule/structure started to catch up to everyone by Friday. We had spent a lot of time together by that point in the week, stayed up past bedtime a few too many nights, and it was cold and icy outside, so moods and behavior took a turn for the worse. I'm never sure what to do when the kids get into this funk, but our usual tactic is to get out of the house! So, we ventured out to run some errands, then see Matt's band at On Tap on Friday, decorated cookies at Turner Toys and went to see Frozen 2 on Saturday. It saved our sanity, and now we are ready for the return of routine!

| Friday was VERY icy - notice the stop sign that was hit by a car in our neighborhood! |
