I think we can officially say that Winter is here. The kids had a snow day last Tuesday with about 6 inches of fresh snow, and we have had a couple of really cold, sub-zero wind-chill days that followed that. Snow is one thing, but no one is ever ready for that windy, cold weather! During the warmer days, we had fun on our first sledding run of the year, and we also made it out for some early season snowshoeing over the weekend. The kids are super excited about playing in the snow, and they rarely complain about being cold, so everyone is happiest when we make it a point to get outside.

This guy still loves to come along for outings with us, but he gets cold a lot faster now!

Notice the snowball in the air about to land on Noah!

Matt made this for me! Isn't he fun?!

On the days it was simply too cold to be out, we were lucky to spend some time with adorable little cousin Aurelia, and the kids went to a Lego building competition at Turner Toys. We have also dug out some board games to keep ourselves busy inside. It gets tricky after a while, because the kids have energy that they need to burn, and now that they are bigger, it's harder to burn that energy inside. I remember they would ride their bikes in the basement when they were younger, which was perfect! I've got to get creative about finding some new outlets for their energy on cold days.
