Fire Safety Week

There have been a couple themes to the week - beautiful fall weather (and all the activities that go with it), and Fire Safety Week!  In honor of Fire Safety Week, the local firefighters visited Noah's school, and I went on a field trip with Evie's class to the fire station.  We ended the week with the annual open house at the fire station, where they had a ton of fun activities, including a demonstration of a live burn.  Noah has been especially obsessed with all things firefighter - the outfit, setting up a fire station in the basement, creating a safe exit plan for our family, and asking a million "What if..." questions surrounding fire safety.

Noah tried out a real fire hose

Live burn demonstration

Hanging out with Daddy - Noah was actually pretty hesitant to go anywhere near the live burn demonstration
The Fall weather has been sooooooo nice, and the leaves are beautiful.  Driving around, it almost feels fake because the colors are so vibrant in every direction.  We have been seeing hot air balloons every morning and evening, which adds to the magic.  The kids' soccer season ended on a great note with a jamboree on Saturday, and we also squeezed in a quick trip to Chapin Orchard for some apples (and visits with the chickens), and a family nature walk.

Trying to capture the beautiful foliage, but the pictures just didn't do it justice

Noah was super excited to have his first friend from kindergarten over for a play date last week.  The two boys had a blast, and I had just as much fun watching them play together!
