This week's adventures are brought to you by Firefighter Noah. We have been doing LOTS of role playing, and Noah is obsessed with being a firefighter. He transformed his ATV into a firetruck, and has gathered various supplies to create the hose, hydrant, fireman's hat, coat, pants, boots, gloves, goggles, air tank, and siren. I run out of enthusiasm for this type of playing pretty quickly, but Noah is quite the fireman! Such stamina!
When we weren't fighting fires, we spent a lot of time during the past week enjoying some great music. Matt had a couple gigs with King Me, and he also played with Gravel for the Discover Jazz Fest in Burlington. I was able to have a couple kid-free nights to go out with friends and enjoy his playing (thank you to Grandparents for babysitting!), and then we had a beautiful evening on Church Street as a family enjoying some of our friends' music and dinner. It was one of those magical evenings when the kids' moods were good, the weather was perfect, the music was wonderful, and everyone was relaxed. Those days don't happen often with young kids, but we are so grateful when they do!
The days are getting longer and it's feeling more like summer, so we've been enjoying our usual favorites - swimming, park time, and playing outside.
Just in case things seemed too perfect, here's a glimpse into real life in the Guzowski house...the craft area. Arghhhh. Maybe this summer I'll pay the kids to keep it clean, because my other approaches have not gone well!
