Last week was school vacation week, and the idea of staying home in the dead of winter with both kids for a week inspired me to make some vacation plans. Initially we had hoped for a warm destination, but then the opportunity to spend a few days in Boston with my extended family came up, and we decided to do it. We were nervous about how the kids would do in the car (we don't do a lot of road trips), but they were great, and the trip was a refreshing break from our normal routine. We visited the aquarium, the science museum, the children's museum, and Matt even stayed with the kids one night while I went to a Celtics game with my family. Evie and Noah loved having their cousins along on the vacation, and they had fun swimming in the hotel pool every day and riding the T for the first time. The only bummer of the trip was that Grandma and Elliot both got very sick and had to miss out on some of the adventures. Now that we know how easy the trip is to Boston, we are hoping to go back again soon!
