10 Years!

I feel like I need about 10 blog posts to catch everyone up on the past couple weeks!

Matt and I celebrated our 10th anniversary this past weekend, and he surprised me with a kid-free getaway at Hotel VT.  Grandma Karen stayed with the kids at our house, so we literally threw a few clothes in a bag and left for our FIRST overnight without the kids.  He arranged so many surprises for me, including having a beautiful new ring waiting for me at the jewelry store along with champagne!  It was a lot of fun to feel like tourists in our own town, and to have the luxury of time to wander on Church Street and at the Farmer's Market.  For all the time we spend focusing on our kids, it was wonderful to have some time just for us!  But, of course we started missing them after less than 24 hours.

The annual visit with the Colorado Zehnackers was awesome, as always.  Evie and Aristea were best buddies immediately, and spent lots of time playing American Girl dolls, putting on dance performances, swimming, and dressing like twins.  Over the course of the week, we all had lots of laughs, good food, and a great trip to Shadow Lake.

Evie loved her week at dance camp, and she is already asking if she can do it again next year.  There was a cute performance at the end of the week!
