There is a mounting excitement and impatience brewing in our house as Christmas approaches. Evie is thrilled to put the ornaments on the Advent tree and eat her daily chocolate treat from her Advent calendar. She is wrapping gifts, writing letters to Santa, and making cards for everyone she knows. With that comes the constant question of "How many more days until Christmas???" Meanwhile, my to-do list is a mile long!
We spent Saturday celebrating my Uncle Ben's life, and enjoyed the opportunity to spend some time with my dad's extended family. I couldn't get over the resemblance between my dad and his cousins!
Sunday, we went Christmas tree hunting with my family, and it was lots of fun for Evie and Noah to have some cousins along for the adventure. The house is decorated, and now we can enjoy the ambiance while we watch Christmas movies and get ready for the big day!
We also had our family Christmas photos done, and while we thought our kids were horribly behaved during the session, the wonderful Tara from BirdieLou made them look like angels. My heart melts every time I look at the photos! Here are a few of my favorites:
