We've been continuing our "last hurrah" of summer and enjoying it thoroughly! I'm pretty sure we had our last swimming day on Saturday, and then ended the day with a BBQ with friends as a goodbye to summer. Swimming in Vermont until September 19th is pretty amazing, but strangely, it felt kind of good when yesterday morning was a crisp 42 degrees. We baked some pumpkin muffins and are looking forward to apple picking, pumpkins and mums in the coming weeks.

My mom came up with a good description of Noah lately - his play has become very purposeful. He knows what he wants to do and makes it his job. Like in the pictures below - he insisted on sweeping the driveway and going for a bike ride (on Evie's trike, and our neighbor thought he was a girl), and he loves to try doing everything his big sister does, like climbing through the play tunnel. Personally, I'm finding it more enjoyable to play with him, because he has the attention span to play ball, do simple puzzles and look at books. His sense of humor is also developing and he has learned to jokingly ask for cookies and popsicles, then laugh. Adorable!
Roscoe is looking forward to reading some novels on these cool Fall evenings! :-)
