Happy 8 Months, Noah!

Happy 8 Months to Noah today!  I am pretty sure he's working on getting some teeth, so he has been a little challenging this week.  He has the most ear-piercing screech, he's drooling a ton, and his mood has been edgy.  (Sleep isn't a good indicator with him since it's never very good!  We are still up at least twice a night.)  Evie was just about the same age when she got her first tooth, so we're hoping Noah's first one arrives soon.  Meanwhile, he's been gnawing on all the chewy bread crusts he can get his hands on (Gerard's is his top choice) .  Much more delicious than teething toys!

Other milestones for this age include him being very squirmy and wanting to move (inhibited by the cast), and he has started to have some recognizable verbal development in addition to blowing raspberries.  His first discernible babble was "Ma ma ma" - YAY!  Of course, I went out with friends one night and came home to him saying "Da da da", so I'm not sure I'm the favorite after all.  Hrmph.  Honestly, he is excited to see everyone, and he has a way of making you feel like you are the most important person in the world, greeting you with an excited gasp and a huge smile.

Winter is settling in, but we haven't had a ton of snow yet (I know all of our friends around the Northeast are getting buried right now!).  We're making the most of what we have, and we had a beautiful family outdoor day on Saturday.  It was in the 30's and sunny, so we took advantage of an outdoor skating rink in our town and then we went sledding with Evie's new snow tube.  The fresh air and sunshine were so nice, and Noah was such a good boy, hanging out in his snowsuit and watching the fun.  Hopefully we will have more days like that soon!

We had to get out of the house...this was our cheap entertainment for the day at the mall!

Yes, this is how we all felt!

Snow tubes are FUN!
