It seems so cliche to say "Where has the time gone?", but I can't believe we have a 2-year old! I felt doubly blessed to celebrate Evelyn's 2nd birthday and Mother's Day all in one weekend. Truly, my heart is full.

One day old, one year old, and two years old
Evelyn's birthday celebration began as soon as she woke up on Friday morning. We had decorated her bedroom doorway with ribbons and parked a new tricycle in the hallway for her, and she woke up to mommy and daddy singing "Happy Birthday" to her.

Whoa, nice bed head!
From there, we went out as a family to run a few errands and Evelyn got to ride in her forward-facing car seat for the first time.

We all enjoy a little Starbucks on our birthday, right?
Then, Evelyn took an amazing 3-hour nap and gave mommy and daddy time to get the house ready for the party. Family arrived and Evelyn LOVED the presents, singing, and birthday cake! She especially loved being surrounded by her cousins!

Two great-grandmas were there to celebrate with us. What a lucky girl!
We spent the rest of the weekend enjoying the new gifts, watching Carly play softball and playing with cousins, and having some relaxing family time for Mother's Day.
