21 Months

Happy 21 Months to Evelyn!  These days she is exerting her opinion a lot.  For example, when I'm driving and I come to a red light, she shouts, "DRIVE!"  Another not-so-fun thing she has been saying is, "No talking!"  It's hard enough for Matt and I to talk about anything with our little chatterbox around, but sometimes it's necessary (especially with all the basement stuff we've had going on), and trying to talk over a shouting toddler is exhausting.  Fortunately, a lot of the time when Evie is chattering away, she is sweet, funny, and entertaining, and we love that.

Even a paper towel tube can be fun!

At 21 Months, here are the highlights:

• No new teeth yet - still 12 total, but we think the canines are on their way
• Sleeping about 11 hours per night
• Napping for about 2 hours in the afternoon
• Eats just about anything...she always wants whatever we're having, but her favorite foods are yogurt, milk, oatmeal, and fresh berries
• Favorite activities: playing kitchen, helping Mommy in the real kitchen, stickers, Play-Doh, reading books, playing with her cousins, and being outside (sadly, it's been too cold for this lately!)

We have been busy with lots of family birthdays, which Evelyn has greatly enjoyed.  Happy 40th Birthday to Aunt Pea and Happy 8th Birthday to cousin Elliot!

We are headed to Colorado this week on our second airplane trip with Evie...wish us luck!  Now I'd better go and start my packing!
