Evelyn is officially 20 Months old! While she is generally pretty agreeable, I feel like she's starting to test her limits a little more these days. The most recent issue has been hitting Roscoe - we have zero tolerance for this, and Evelyn knows it'll get our attention. Over and over, we have been telling her "no", removing her from the situation and trying to get the message across that hitting is wrong. Hopefully it's getting through somehow, but it feels a little like we're banging our heads against a wall right now! The good news is that Roscoe is unbelievably patient and gentle, and he just lets Evelyn be sassy. Despite the hitting, Evelyn LOVES Roscoe, and she always wants to kiss him (gross!), play with him, and read books to him.

Here's another funny story: when I got home from work one day last week, Evie was playing with my purse while Matt and I were unpacking bags, etc. All of a sudden, Evie said, "Eat coin!" We both turned and looked at her, and she had a nickel in her mouth!!!! I quickly grabbed it out, and asked Evie if she had swallowed any. "Yup, noooooooooo. Nope! Yup!" We had no idea, but had to go with the assumption that she hadn't swallowed any. Then, Matt asked me if I there had been any cash in my wallet. It was missing, and after looking under all the rugs and everywhere in the kitchen, we asked Evie what she did with Mommy's money. "Trash can!" We quickly checked the trash can, and there it was, a crumpled $20 bill atop a pile of dirty diapers. Thank goodness she can talk, but yuck!
