Halloween photos!

We had fun celebrating Halloween last week!  Evelyn was very good at saying "Trick or Treat" and "Thank You!" to all the neighbors, and she walked all the way around the condos collecting her treasures. This is probably the only year we'll be able to say this, but her favorite "treat" was the sheet of stickers that she got at one house!  (Don't worry, Mommy and Daddy are helping to enjoy the other treats!)  Evie's cousin Elliot came trick-or-treating with her, so he helped to show her the ropes...she wasn't sure what to think of his Darth Vader costume, though!

It feels like early winter is settling in here in VT, and we've had quite a few gray, dreary, cold days.  Fortunately, Evelyn doesn't mind the cold and she loves to be outside, so between her and Roscoe, we have lots of motivation to get out of the house.  We went out for a family hike on Sunday and ended at a playground - perfect!

We had our first snow flurries this week.  It took some time to explain this phenomenon to Evelyn, and then she  said, "MORE!"  Little does she know what to expect over the next 4 months!

 Evelyn has a new-found interest in her stuffed animals.  She's been asking to have one or two in her crib for nap time, and now she likes to play in her crib and have me load all her animal buddies in there with her.  Then, she reads them books and insists that I read books to them, too.  After about an hour, I've had my fill of reading books to stuffed animals, but I think it's incredibly sweet how Evie is already acting like a little mother hen.

We also had a chance to visit with Matt's childhood neighbor and his family, which includes 10-month-old twin babies.  It made me feel like having one busy toddler is a walk in the park, and Evelyn looked so big by comparison.  Let me tell you, getting a picture with all three kids was just about impossible, but here are a couple of our better shots!
