Happy 11 Months to Evelyn, and Happy Easter to all of you!
| Easter Sunday at church |
At 11 months old, Evelyn is very busy. Her walking is getting better, although she still prefers to hold with one hand when she's walking longer distances. She has bumped her head a few times as she's been working on this new skill, which breaks my heart. I know it's something every kid goes through, but that doesn't make it any easier on me. She is also talking a lot more, saying several animal sounds, MaMa, Dad (pronounced Gaaaaaa), Grandma, Grandpa, Roscoe, CarCar (cousin Carly), etc. Of course, all of these "words" require a little interpretation, but it is so cool to have Evie communicating her needs to us.
Evie is a great eater, which makes sense with all the activity she's getting during the day! She still primarily eats baby food, snacks and breast milk, although she always demands some of whatever meal Matt and I are eating. My food scissors are becoming a very handy tool in making Evie-sized bites!
Sleep is going extremely well at night, with Evie sleeping 8pm-8am most days. We have come to love that 8-10pm time when we can unwind and have a little time for ourselves! Her naps have been pretty bad since we returned from vacation, at 30-45 mins in the morning and 1 hour in the afternoon. I feel like we're still getting back on track, so hopefully we can get her to lengthen those naps a little bit in the coming weeks!
We had a wonderful time celebrating Evelyn's first Easter over the weekend. We went to church on Sunday and had a brunch and Easter Egg Hunt with the whole family afterward, which is always a lot of fun.

And the Easter Bunny even brought some treats for Evelyn on Sunday! Poor Roscoe was hunting for treats again. By the way, how adorable is Evie's Easter dress? :-)
One of the biggest hits were bubbles - you've got to love these smiles! They will be fun when the weather gets warm again and we can play with them outside.
And here are a few from the big Easter Egg Hunt at Grandpa's house!
