Evie is 6 weeks old today! It seems like she has grown up a lot over the past week, both in size and actions. She's smiling quite a bit now, and she has lots of alert time during the day when she focuses on people and toys and kicks her legs and arms. She has slept through the night about half of the nights over the past week, as well! I made the brave move of getting on the scale with and without Evelyn so I could figure out her current weight today, and she is exactly 10 pounds! She still looks so petite, but she's very long. In fact, the 3-month outfits she has are suddenly fitting her length-wise, whereas they were way too long just a week ago.
Matt and I were able to go out for a drink with friends on Friday night while my mom watched Evelyn. This was a big moment, because it was the first time we've left her! It went great, and we felt surprisingly fine leaving her...in fact, we felt a little guilty because we were so fine with it! Evie did great, so we left her again for a brief period with our good friend Jenn last night while we were running a few errands. The only difficult thing is that I haven't started pumping yet, so we have to carefully plan our departures around her eating schedule.
We also celebrated Matt's first Father's Day on Sunday with a nice low-key family day. We went to church, out to lunch, and then we went for a nice long family walk since the weather was so perfect. I made Matt some delicious Father's Day cookies, and we managed to see both of our dads, as well! All in all, it was a great day.

| Matt thinks Evelyn looks like me when she yawns. Agree or disagree? |

| Matt was trying out his new lens for the camera, and I liked the way this picture came out. Yes, Roscoe is still depressed about being low man on the totem poll. |
