Wrapping Up

We are in the home stretch of the school year, with Evie taking her final exams this week, and Noah's last day of school coming next Monday.  It's always a bittersweet feeling, because we're excited for summer, but sad to say goodbye to some special teachers, friends, and routines from the past year.  Our nephew (and Evie's chauffeur) will be graduating from high school on Saturday, and she is really going to miss having him at school next year.  We are also saying goodbye to several special people in our lives that are moving away after school ends.  Lots of emotions during these final days of the school year!

I'm not sure where the time went between these next two photos!

A truly special coach and friend.  We are going to miss Coach Mark and his family!

Off to Michigan they go...and these cookies are pretty cute!

As part of the wrapping up of the school year, Evie had her final orchestra concert for the year, which was beautiful!  To top it off, her orchestra conductor lost a bet and let the seniors shave his head on stage after the performance ended.  It was a surprising and unforgettable night!

Noah also had a performance with his rock band at school, and he got to show off his percussion skills on the drum set, which he enjoys a little more than playing percussion with the regular band.  The entire 6th grade came to watch the performance, and the kids did a great job!

VIP seating for us!

Evie and I did a quick trip to MA over the weekend for one final competition before Nationals, and she persevered through some tough conditions and was proud to finish 3rd.  The Feis was held in a church hall with no air conditioning, and temperatures outside were approaching a humid 90 degrees.  We had fun with our dance friends, but this is not a competition we plan to attend again.

Chick-Fil-A for lunch on the way home!  Always a treat since we don't have it in VT!
Evie had some favorite visitors at her dance practice last week! Kayla and Liv were both in town and came to visit!

Noah finished up his regular Little League season, and he is thrilled that he has officially made the All-Star team (and Matt was selected as an assistant coach).  It's an exciting and busy season, with daily practices starting this week, but also such a great opportunity for Noah to keep playing ball with a group of higher level players.  I can't wait to watch some more baseball!

For all the goodbyes and changes in the air, here are some of the regular, everyday life moments that are keeping us grounded through it all.

I need to be more like Frankie some days!
