Back to Normal

After a very busy spell (weeks...months?!), we finally had a normal week!  I kept feeling like I was forgetting to do things, because we have become accustomed to being so busy.  It felt great to have dinner at home, have time for the kids to hang out with friends, and go to bed on a normal schedule!  Frankie was happy we had a little more time for walks and playing with her, too!

Evie had time to make some delicious cake pops!

The big event of the week was Noah's Confirmation on Saturday at The Cathedral of St. Joseph in Burlington.  Noah has been working hard to prepare for this sacrament through classes, community service, and a retreat, and he selected Saint Sebastian as his Confirmation saint name.  Saint Sebastian is the patron saint of athletes, which spoke to Noah!  The Confirmation ceremony was beautiful, and our Bishop did an incredible job of relating to the kids.  Noah was lucky to have a great group of kids that made their Confirmation alongside him!  Many of these kids are Noah's friends at school, neighbors, and teammates, and I feel hopeful that they will continue to encourage each other on right paths and spread the light of the Holy Spirit to the world.  We celebrated afterward with a nice lunch at Burlington Beer Company with close family and friends.
