Exams and Away Games

Last week was Evie's first experience with high school mid-term exams, and now that they're done, I'm happy to report that she did very well on all her tests!  But, I'll also admit that the stress of exam prep was felt by the whole household last week (wink, wink)!  The reward for finishing her exams was a 4-day weekend.  Over the long weekend, Evie had Winter Ball on Sunday night, which she went to with her friend Lila.  They looked so beautiful!  And then with a bonus day off from school Tuesday (exam make-up day), Evie was treated to a little pampering - getting her hair done by my amazing stylist and having lunch at Playa Bowls.

I let her share my dinner to help with exam stress!

Meanwhile, Noah had another busy basketball week, with two home games during the week, followed by an away game on Friday night in Middlebury (1 hour and 15 minutes away), and another away game in Barre on Sunday (1 hour away).  While it was a lot of time on the road, Noah is having a great time with his teammates, and especially loves being a part of the school team.

Some yummy takeout from a grilled cheese restaurant in Barre!  These are the perks of away games!

And a basketball cookie to top it off! Yum!

In addition to the kids' stuff, we had a belated Christmas celebration with Grandma Karen last week, we celebrated Tom's birthday, and had a chance to play some family pickleball.  The three-day weekend was much appreciated by everyone!

Matt made creme brulee for dessert so he could try out his new food torch!  It was DELICIOUS!

Noah skinned his elbow while playing pickleball, which was a bummer of a way to end the game!

Loaded Baked Potato night!  A family favorite!
