Back to the Grind

We all settled back into routine last week, and honestly, it felt like a long week.  Noah was right into it with basketball games on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday, and Evie had her final week of classes before midterm exams begin today.  Our brains felt overloaded and tired with all the juggling of schedules and rides after having a break from it all for a couple weeks!  I have to give a shout-out to the grandparents for helping out when we are going in so many directions, and for showing up at so many games every week!  We couldn't do it all without them.

Noah had his first dress-up day for his basketball game last week, so Matt had to show him how to tie a tie.  What a quintessential father-son moment, right?!  We had a momentary panic that Noah didn't have any dress clothes that fit, but we were saved by an amazing batch of hand-me-downs in the basement.  (Thank you, Stefan and Hudson!)

Looking good, Noah!

The January blahs are threatening to creep in now that we've taken down all the Christmas decorations, and everything outside is covered in ice, but we are finding the small things to keep us happy.  Game nights, good food, and time with family get us through these long winter days.  We gain 50 minutes of daylight in January, so hang in there, everyone!

Spot it Connect - a new game that is fun and frustrating!

Evie made the most delicious homemade pasta for dinner (and yes, she is making the same face that Matt is making in the picture above)!

Noah styled my hair for me...interesting!

And this little office-mate makes sure we don't spend too much time on screens!
