Thanksgiving week was a welcome respite from our busy and exciting schedule the previous week. We had some time to get caught up at home, put up a few Christmas decorations, time to see a few friends, and lots of family time. On Thanksgiving, we began with a quick Turkey Trot around the neighborhood, followed by the annual Turkey Bowl at Aunt Pea's. It was quite a muddy game this year, which added to the laughs! Grandpa was the referee, squeezing into an old referee jersey over his layers of outerwear, and Carly was unofficially awarded the most muddy player after a faceplant into the muck on the first play of the game. After the game, we all went home to clean up, do some cooking, and then we reconvened for dinner in the late afternoon. It was a relaxing and delicious meal, and we continued to enjoy the leftovers for the rest of the weekend.

We ended the weekend with a trip to the movies, a hike, some family pickleball and a basketball game for Noah. The week was just what we all needed to recharge before heading into the busy, dark month of December!
