After a quiet week at home, it was a double-header weekend of travel for us! The boys headed back to NY for another basketball tournament, and the girls headed to MA for a dance competition for Evie. We departed on Saturday morning and headed in opposite directions, and it was fun to have some kid one-on-one time! This was a swap of the kid/parent combo from the last trip, so we're really keeping things fair, ha ha! We all had some time for shopping, some yummy meals out, and of course the kids' activities.

Noah's team had two games on Saturday and two on Sunday, and as we have found with these Albany-area tournaments, it was very physical, tough basketball. They ended up losing 3 out of 4 games, but played with grit and determination! On to middle school basketball try-outs this week!
Evie's competition was on Sunday, and this was a new one for us. It was the first time I had to bring my own camp chair to spectate at a Feis, but it ended up being a great competition. Evie placed 5th out of 14 competitors, including two New England champions (boys champion and girls champion), which was her best finish yet in Open Championships! She has been doing an Irish Dance training program this fall, putting in hard work every day, and the results are really showing. She heads to New England Regionals (Oireachtas) in Providence in less than two weeks and is feeling excited!

We started the week off with a big surprise - our first snow, and it's a solid several inches. We went from "stick season" into Winter very quickly!
