It's coming...we can all feel the changing of gears toward school, from the "Welcome Back" emails, to the supply lists, back to school shopping, and the fact that it's getting dark out before 8pm. We are doing our best to continue to enjoy these summer days, but we have a lot to check off the to-do list before next week.

Last week, Noah was doing mountain bike camp, which is always a favorite, and it was extra special this year with TWO of his cousins helping to lead the camp. Noah was psyched to spend the week biking with Colby and Elliot, so he was really bummed to wake up feeling sick on Tuesday. After two days of feeling yucky, he rebounded and was back on the trails for Thursday and Friday.

Meanwhile, Evie was helping at an art camp for the week, which was a lot of fun for her! She is hoping to go back again next year. Evie also returned to dance last week for summer classes, which are being held in a new studio space at The Edge in South Burlington. The new location will be an adjustment, since they no longer have their own studio and it's a little bit of a longer drive, but she is excited to get back to dance!

On Saturday, we seized the summer weather and spent the afternoon tubing down the Winooski River in Richmond. Since the rivers are so low right now, it was a pretty slow journey, but absolutely beautiful and relaxing. It took us about 2.5 hours, and I think the kids would have loved if it was about half of that, or if we had brought some snacks to have along the way!
We ended the weekend with a fun neighborhood BBQ that ended with a total downpour and temperatures dropping into the 60's! We were soaked and freezing when we got home. Matt had to embark on a project immediately after the party, because our garbage disposal bit the dust! Never a dull moment!
