We've gone from dull January into February - the busy month of celebrations! So far, we have celebrated two of our favorite people. First, we had Matt's birthday, which we have now celebrated 3 times, as well as Paula's birthday. These birthdays are so good for breaking us out of hibernation mode and giving us an excuse to gather and catch up with the family.

The kids have also had some fun things to get us out of the house. Noah's basketball season continues, but we are down to the final weekend coming up. He had his first pre-season baseball clinic, and will be switching into baseball mode soon!
Evie had the opportunity to participate in the District Music Festival again this year for orchestra. They rehearsed for two days, and put on a beautiful performance at the end!
We have been having quite a snowy winter, which is a welcome change from the past few years. We have had lots of little storms, which have amounted to a pretty good amount of snow, but we haven't had one of those huge dumpings yet. However, the kids got their first snow day on Thursday, and we got out and enjoyed lots of outdoor time. Matt and I went snowshoeing with Frankie, Noah and Evie worked on a luge track in the backyard, and then we all warmed up by the mini solo stove and roasted some marshmallows. It was a fun break from routine!

And then we ended the weekend with a low-key and delicious super bowl party. It wasn't the most exciting game, but the company and the food were fantastic! Kudos to Evie and Lila for the amazing whoopie pies!
