Winter marches on, and we have continued to stay busy, both outside and inside! Matt and Noah were proud to complete their annual igloo, and it survived a tenuous day in the mid-30s, so now we're pretty sure it's going to be here until March!

| Mr. and Mrs. Cardinal are our favorite birds that visit our feeder in the winter! |
Matt had a little getaway to Glover with some of the guys in the family, resurrecting the old tradition of "Brother-in-laws Weekend." They took a trip over to Shadow Lake to shovel the roof and deck, and had lots of laughs over their games of grunts and cards.

Meanwhile, at home, the kids, Frankie and I hunkered in, had a movie night, and did some nordic skiing. Hopefully we'll make it up for some downhill skiing/snowboarding before long!
Now that the Polar Vortex has set in, we had to shift to some indoor options. Bingo Night at Noah's school was a favorite event, with some friendly competition and fun prizes. Over the weekend, Evie was invited to stay overnight at The Essex Resort with her friend, and Noah and I got to join them for some swimming and hot tub time. Winter hot tubbing is really cozy, until you have to get out! We also did some holiday weekend pickleball at The Pop. It's one of our new favorite places, and it's such a fun active thing to do on these cold winter days.
