It was a quiet week around here while Matt and Evie were recovering from Covid. After a few rough days, they were on the mend, and Evie was thrilled to return to school on Thursday to see all her friends. She did a good job of keeping up with school work from home, and since Matt works from home, he was able to alternate between resting and working as needed. I think it's safe to say that Noah and I avoided it, miraculously!

We were glad that everyone was healthy by the weekend, because it was our annual family adventure to get our Christmas tree! We woke up to our first measurable snowfall of the season on Saturday morning, which put everyone into the holiday spirit. Noah got to have a quick ride on Elliot's snowmobile, then we were off to find our trees. It looked like a postcard as we were driving there - snow-covered trees and hills, with everything all fresh and white. After some hunting, we all found "the perfect tree" and then had some hot chocolate and snacks. This 40+ year family tradition is something we all treasure.
The rest of the weekend was filled with decorating, and of course, a basketball game for Noah! The house is looking festive, and now it's time for us to finish up our shopping and do some baking. Christmas feels like it's coming quickly this year!
