Shadow Lake 2024

We are just getting back to reality after an awesome July 4th week at camp!  Each year, this family tradition evolves as the kids get older, but the important things all remain: fishing, biking, swimming, tubing, card games, puzzles, family, and lots of food!  Being at camp allows us to unplug and unwind, and not have to rush anywhere, which is the ultimate relaxation. We were blessed with incredible weather, which made for an especially awesome week!

Noah's all-star baseball season has come to a close.  It's a mix of emotions, because we're sad to see it end, but ready to have some free evenings, too!  Noah's team worked hard and improved a ton, but they were eliminated from the tournament with a loss on July 5th.  It was a lot of fun to watch the team over the course of the season, and we are especially proud of Noah for being awarded the game ball by the umpire for his perseverance and for "being a gentleman" during a tough game.  Noah's team also had a fun outing to the VT lake monsters to celebrate their accomplishments!

Evie had a week of orchestra camp before we left for Shadow Lake, and they put on a beautiful concert at the end of the week.  It was a very productive week, and I know Evie worked hard, because she was exhausted when she got home at the end of the day.  

And a couple other random highlights...

Incredible Chocolate Peanut Butter cake that Evie made for Hudson's birthday!  So yummy!

Noah had his annual checkup, and he's doing great!  If he keeps growing at the same rate, Dr. Hale estimates he will be just under 6 feet tall at age 18.
