Divide and Conquer

Last week was full of year-end events for the kids' schools. Noah had a fun field day, filled with games and outdoor fun, which I volunteered at.  The kids all had a blast, despite the intermission in the middle of the day for thunder and rain!  I think the favorite event was the dunk tank - the principal said she knew she was in trouble when she saw all the Little League All-Stars line up to try and dunk her!

Evie had the opportunity to play with the EMS Jazz Band on Church Street for Jazz Fest on Friday!  It was a little bit sad knowing it was the last concert with Mr. Stone before he retires, but it was a wonderful performance (Evie had a little solo!), and they even played a song while the chorus sang along.  We celebrated with Ben & Jerry's after the concert!

They were on the news!

After Evie's performance, the girls headed off to Boston for a weekend of Irish Dance, and the boys held down the fort at home and had a baseball-filled weekend.  Evie finished with a 4th, 3rd, and 2nd place, which was a good result in a tough pool of dancers.  I am just so proud of her courage and confidence when she is up there on stage!  Noah played in two baseball games and went to two Lake Monsters games while we were gone. Luckily the boys were busy, so they didn't have too much time to miss us!  We still got a great welcome home, both from the boys and from Frankie, and we're glad to have the family back in one state!  Now we're on to the final few days of the school year - phew!

McFadden Dancers on Day 1

Evie and Amos tied for 2nd place in this competition - how funny!

Girls dinner out at Cheesecake Factory! Yum!

Great weekend of dancing for Evie!
