Summer in April!

Wow, last week was a beauty!  We had lots of sunshine, and several days that were in the low 80's.  It felt like summer, which made all the daily obligations (school, work, cleaning, baseball practice, dance class, etc.) feel like a chore.  After a long winter, we wanted to be outside soaking in every moment of this nice weather!

Spring has sprung (thanks, Dad for the beautiful flowers!)

We had two after-school ice cream dates, cooked on the grill, I played my first game of pickleball for the season, Matt went fishing, Frankie played lots of ball, and the kids played hours and hours of volleyball outside.  The sound of them playing outside with neighbors was music to my ears!

And then Sweet Scoops opened for the season!  We couldn't resist.

Matt's view from the river - great scenery, but no fish (water is too high!)

Our little artist - somehow she even makes sidewalk chalk look good!

Frankie's favorite - playing ball and taking breaks in her pool

All tuckered out

Saturday, we reluctantly spent some time indoors (but it was worth it!) for the amazing Lyric Theatre production of Shrek at the Flynn.  It was a fantastic show, and Noah's music teacher from school had one of the lead roles, so it was fun to see her perform.  After the show, we enjoyed some time browsing on Church Street, and it seemed like the whole state had come out of hibernation to enjoy the nice weather!  It was one of those great Burlington days!

We are back to more normal weather this week, so thankfully it will give us a chance to clean the house and get caught up on everything we ignored while basking in the sun!
