We have been getting into the Christmas Spirit more and more by the day, and we finally got a little dusting of snow to make things look more festive! This week, we got the Nativity Set up, went to the Train Hop and lights at Maple Street Park, celebrated with friends, and made some cookies. We are trying not to get too overwhelmed with all the busy-ness of the season, but it is starting to feel like time is closing in!

It was great to have the tradition of the Train Hop in Essex Junction back this year! We visited lots of shops with model trains, and then Matt dug out his old trains and he and Noah made a track at home. Fun!

Evie is our early riser, and she got up on Saturday morning and made waffles for everyone! What a treat!
We did lots of cookie decorating - first at a party with friends on Saturday. On Sunday, Noah was inspired by the book The Ninjabread Man, so we made some homemade "Ninjabread" cookies and throwing stars. It was much more work than he imagined, and he lost interest at several points during the project, but thankfully Evie was willing to help so I didn't have to make and decorate the cookies by myself!
