Shadow Lake Dreamin'

We are back after a great vacation at Shadow Lake!  The pace of life at camp is so different from home, and it really refreshes the soul.  We got to sleep in a little bit, then wake up and have some coffee on the deck each day.  Then we'd maybe go for a little exercise, have some breakfast, and spend the rest of the day at the beach.  There was fishing, swimming, kayaking, tubing, and all kinds of fun at the beach with cousins.  We also got completely spoiled by my mom's yummy meals!  Most days were nice enough for the beach, and there was plenty of time for reading, puzzles and board games, too.  Such a great week!

Packing was no small feat

Evie caught a ton of perch, and this nice bass!

We returned from camp a little early, because we had a big milestone to celebrate.  Nana Mil turned 95 years old!  We celebrated with a surprise Hawaiian-themed pool party.  She loved seeing the whole family together, and said that it was really a perfect day.  We count our blessings for her continued health and happiness and all the love she brings to our family.

How good is Millie's outfit?!

The kids swam for about 6 hours straight

The newly-named "Matt Tai" drinks.  Perfect drink for the day!

95 Years Old - she is an example of how to age with grace!

Aside from vacation and parties, we have been keeping busy!  Kids camps, friends, and spending lots of time at the pool.  It's what summer is all about!
