Heart of the Summer

It feels like we are settled into the sweet spot of summer.  It's hot, sunny, and school is a distant thought!  There has been lots of pool time, and finally a chance to catch our breath.  Last week, Evie had cooking camp (which benefitted the whole family!), and Noah had a 2-day baseball clinic with the Vermont Lake Monsters.

We found Grandpa Zeke's seat at Centennial Field!

So fun!

It was a fun week for both of them, with plenty of time for other summer fun in addition to the camps.  Noah has taken a new interest in learning to skateboard, and he also had a blast mountain biking with Matt and Elliot.  Evie and I opted for the more refreshing river outing with the dogs and other family members!

Elliot is CRAZY-good, and Noah loved riding with him!

Noah is doing great, too!

Here are some other glimpses of our summer fun from last week.  Nothing wild, just simple fun - especially visiting with the most adorable sweet baby Eloise!  She made our week!

So much cuteness!

We wanted to keep her!

Matt and I had the chance for a date night on Friday, and we opted to go without a plan, which made it very relaxing!  After running some errands (how romantic!), we went down and had an awesome dinner at the waterfront at Farmers & Foragers.

We celebrated Carly and Grandpa's birthdays on Sunday night, and in addition to the excitement of the birthdays, we were surprised by a hot air balloon landing in Aunt Pea's yard!  It was such a cool experience, and we all got to take a quick tethered ride in the balloon before they packed it up.  There is something so magical about hot air balloons, and it was a perfect coincidence for it to happen on Carly's birthday!

Here it comes!

Happy 20th Carly!

The whole fam piled in the balloon basket

Ha!  The burner was a little loud!

Cheers!

The whole balloon packed into that one bag!

Happy (early) Birthday to Grandpa Zeke!  We will keep the celebration rolling all week long!
