Germs

The past week was a long one, because just as Noah was feeling better, Matt caught the cold, and then a few days later, Evie caught it.  (I'm feeling paranoid, but I haven't caught it yet!)  Evie and Matt both completed home Covid tests and they came out negative, so we feel pretty confident that they had the same bug as Noah.  After more than a year without any illnesses, we had forgotten how even a cold can make you feel pretty awful for a few days.  It was also tough timing since all the fall activities are just starting up, and we had just started to feel a little more settled into the school routine!  Even poor Frankie had a set of vaccines, and was feeling under the weather for a couple days.

Baths always help with a stuffy nose

This is a new adventure for us!

Phew!  Negative result.

Keeping busy at home on the sick days

Someone was feeling well enough to put on an outdoor concert!

By the weekend, we were able to re-enter society a little bit - Noah was feeling well enough for his first soccer game, but Evie had to miss hers for the week.  Everyone rallied and made it to Aunt Pea's annual fall party for some great music and outdoor fun, and the following day, we enjoyed a neighborhood fall gathering.

Having fun at Aunt Pea's party

King Me rocked it, as always

Somewhere in between sick days, we squeezed in a final pool day of the season (it was COLD!), which is always bittersweet!  We are thankful for another great pool season and lots of swims, and now I'm ready for fall weather and cozy sweatshirts.
