Winter-Spring-Winter Time

Last week was a little bit of Winter, a little bit of Spring, and back to Winter.  That sums up a typical March in Vermont!  We are just happy that we didn't get a huge snowstorm like our family out in Denver!

Evie and Matt squeezed in one more trip to the mountain for some night skiing/snowboarding on Tuesday, which looked like a beautiful evening.  Noah and I had a "date night" at home, where he got to pick our agenda (a trip to the toy store) and we made homemade pizza.

After that, the weather warmed up, and the majority of the snow melted around home.  It made my heart so happy to see many neighbors and kids out for walks, biking, scootering, sidewalk chalk, and simply visiting with other human beings again.  We knew it wouldn't last, but we soaked in those 50's and 60's for a few days.

Now that the snow is gone, we have to re-orient ourselves for a new season of outdoor fun.  This in-between time of year is tough since the woods are so muddy, but it isn't all that warm yet.  Over the weekend, we kept busy with a Girl Scouts cookie booth for Evie, a play date (our governor just opened up that option last week!), and some crafty activities.

And, of course the Frankie snuggles fill in any free moments! (She now weighs 45 lbs!)
