With the kids back in school, lots of my pictures from the week are of Frankie! Frankie, Mom and Dad hang out quite a bit while the kids are at school, and we are so happy to have her to keep us company. She also gives us the excuse to get together with friends for hikes and puppy play dates. Frankie, our work, house chores, and getting the house put back together have made the hours fly by while the kids are at school.

The kids are settling into their school routines, and we are getting used to driving them to and from school rather than walking to and from the bus. It's amazing to see how much they are learning already, and I love when they come home and recreate some of their favorite activities from their school day. That's always an indicator that they enjoyed something!

Over the weekend, we did a volunteer day called Serve Our Neighbor Day with our church, where we did yard work for an elderly member of our community. Despite the cold, rainy day, the kids were super helpful and cheerful about helping, and it was such a valuable experience. We also got out for a nice fall walk in the woods, and then celebrated our wonderful nephew Colby's 13th birthday!
