We made it through a pretty chaotic week, with the return to full-time school, and the house in disarray due to the flooring project. Packing up the kids and the puppy and getting out of the house every day was reminiscent of the days of having an infant in the bucket seat - every outing felt more complicated and tiring, and I was toting around so many bags! As the flooring was getting finished up, we first realized they hadn't ordered the carpet for our stairs, then we realized both of our toilets that they had removed were leaking around the seal, down through the floor into the basement. It was a stressful few hours, but thankfully the leaky toilets have been fixed and the carpet will be here soon. We are glad that the most disruptive work is done. Phew!

We felt really classy with the toilet on the lawn!

Sneak Peek of the new floors. We will take lots of pics once the finishing touches are done!

The kids had a good return to school last week, but we were glad to have a 4-day weekend before going back to another school week. Noah was especially exhausted from his week back, and he broke my heart by tearfully telling me how sweaty he feels with his mask on all day. We just received news last night of a positive Covid case at Noah's school, so that adds to the emotions of this transition time.

We appreciated the beautiful fall weather over the long weekend by doing a corn maze with friends, eating lots of fall treats (cider donuts, apples, maple/pumpkin creemees, and apple pie), finishing the fall soccer season, and enjoying a hike by the lake with friends. It feels like the clock is ticking on our outdoor gatherings with friends as the weather gets colder, so we are appreciating these fun times together while they last!

I actually love being a soccer mom, and I'm kind of sad the season is over!
