Emotions are running high this week as we face many "lasts" in our familiar school-year routine. Preschool graduation (and the closing of CPEC forever!) will be on Thursday, and Evie's final day of 2nd Grade (and her last day at EES) is on Friday. I am doing my best to be a steady force for the kids, but I've been feeling pretty fragile, too. A highlight of last week was Evie's Second Grade play, titled "Commotion in the Ocean." Evie was a sea turtle, and she and her classmates worked so hard to memorize their lines and learn a lot of wonderful songs. It was very sweet, and we were so proud of our girl!
Fancy day at school

Sunshine finally returned for several days, which boosted our spirits and got us excited for summer. We swam, played outside, went to the park, participated in a fishing derby at Indian Brook, and enjoyed some great live music.
