We are lucky to have lots of birthdays in the family to add some fun to this otherwise dreary time of year. I think we all get worn down by winter - the cold, unpredictable weather, and the endless indoor time get old after a while. The family gatherings to celebrate the February birthdays have certainly helped us ward off the winter doldrums. Happy Birthday to Aunt Pea and Elliot this past week!
We also had the chance to make Chinese dumplings with our neighbor after the Chinese New Year. The dumplings were delicious, but it was also really interesting to learn about the Chinese Spring Festival from our neighbor, Lucy.
The rest of the week was pretty ordinary stuff...playing, running errands, projects, etc.
