It's definitely January around here. It has been snowy, followed by sunny and bitter cold. Evie and Noah had a snow day on Wednesday, but we haven't been able to spend much time enjoying the fresh powder, because we have woken up to an average temp of -10 for the past several days. I like to think we're pretty hardy, but at this temperature, it is painful to be outside for more than about 1 minute. Just walking Noah into swim lessons yesterday morning, my face was aching from being exposed to the cold. I'm dreaming of a warm, sunny vacation, but haven't had any luck booking one yet, so we are trying to make the best of the indoor time and riding out this cold snap.

| Don't be fooled - they actually whined about snowshoeing the whole time. This smile was before we had started walking! |

| Yikes, where is the sidewalk?! This is Evie's route home from the bus stop. |
