Halloween Hangover

Last week felt a little crazy, between the wind storm and power outage, missed school, Halloween, the candy hangover, and the time change.  Noah loved watching the workers come and cut down the fallen trees, and the big event was a crane truck coming to the neighborhood to remove an especially large tree.  Noah spent the rest of his afternoon wearing his "protective gear" and sawing everything in sight with his plastic saw.

Evie's week was full of big kid activities - her first basketball practice, a hike with the Girl Scouts, play dates and lunch dates.  And, of course, regular life as a 1st grader!  I have been volunteering with the Four Winds program at her school, so I enjoyed spending some time in Evie's class, too.

Halloween was a fun and chaotic evening, with lots of treats!  Evie and some of her neighborhood friends (plus Noah) had a great time running from house to house and collecting treats together.  Now I have to try not to eat all their candy while they're at school - ha ha!
