Rain, Routine, and Fall Fun

This sums up the weather we had last week...

Despite the rain and dreariness, we got a little more comfortable with our new routines.  Evie started playing soccer, which feels like kind of a big deal, since our kids haven't done any organized sports before this.  Evie loved her first practice and game, and even though she didn't have much of a concept for the game yet, she had a huge smile on her face the whole time.

The annual family fall party was also a highlight of the week, and the big excitement this year was a visit from the ice cream truck (thanks to Aunt Pea for the awesomely fun surprise!).  Noah was very pleased when the band took a break and he was able to fill in on drums.  :-)

We also celebrated my birthday last week, and I felt the love from so many friends and family near and far!  Thank you for helping to make my day a happy one!

Now that Fall really seems to be here, we had to make a trip to Chapin's Orchard!

And a last few random pics.  I'm savoring these days at home with Noah even more now that he is in school!
