We have been enjoying having Matt home on vacation for the past week! I have had time to get shopping done, catch up with friends, bake cookies, and Matt's been doing all kinds of fun stuff with the kids, like building an igloo and a gingerbread house.
You can see where Matt got his creative side. Evie and Grandpa Tom put together this beautiful Christmas village last week:
We had some fresh snow to enjoy and attempted our first family showshoe outing. You'll see that it ended with Matt pulling both kids in the sled, but we had fun anyway!
We have still had time for the usual non-holiday shenanigans, too!
As you know, Matt and I both love our instruments, and this week, his drum set was dressed up for the holidays while my flute was in the repair shop. It's always a little nerve-wracking to see my first baby (my flute) in so many pieces!
Now it's time to finish up our shopping and get our wrapping done. Sending our love to all of you and wishing you a joyful Christmas!
