| Our days of using the stickers are numbered! |
Noah is just about 6 months old, and he had his 6 month checkup at the doctor's last week. I couldn't wait to find out how much he weighed! He did great, smiled at everyone, and barely cried when he got his shots. Evie was very brave when she got her flu shot, too, so of course a trip to the cupcake store was in order after we finished! There are really no restrictions on what we can give Noah to eat now, except for honey, so we are starting to offer him more foods. He's tried a few baby food purees, and he is really showing a lot of interest in food in general. He is especially outspoken at dinner time when grunts and screams for our food, so he's been gnawing on Mum Mums and bell pepper slices during most meals.
Here are his 6 month stats - he is a big, healthy boy!
Height: 28 inches (94%)
Weight: 19.25 lbs (82%)
Head Circumference: 75%
(Just for reference, when Evie was 6 months, she was 14 lbs. 7 oz and 27 inches long. Even at 1 year, she only weighed 18 lbs. 8 oz!)
We had the pleasure of celebrating Grandma Betti's birthday last week! We went to the cupcake store (yes, twice in one week), then had a nice family gathering to celebrate her. Evie and I baked the cake, and Grandma had some special birthday surprises from the grandkids. Carly sewed her a beautiful pillow, and Elliot learned to play "happy birthday" on his trumpet, both of which were truly gifts from the heart. We also had a laugh when she opened not one, but FIVE bottles of wine as gifts. Um, did I mention that we'll be over this evening for happy hour, Mom?!

Evie had been fighting a cold all week, and consequently had more than her share of grouchy moods. I was happy to escape for a little bit on Saturday for a baby play date with some super cute babies and their lovely moms. These three guys were born on three consecutive Tuesdays last spring!
And here are a few other fun moments from the week:

As we celebrate Noah's first Thanksgiving, we are feeling truly grateful for all the blessings in our lives, particularly for our family and friends. We wish you all a very happy Thanksgiving!
