A friend mentioned to me that August is like the Sunday of Summer, and I couldn't agree more. We have been trying to see friends and enjoy as much outdoor time as we can during this final stretch of summer break, but Evie also knew it was time to get started on her summer homework packet for math once we turned the calendar to August. Ugh for her!

Last week, both kids were home without any camps, so while we enjoyed some lazy days, we also ventured to Mills Riverside Park one day (with a stop at Joe's Snack Bar on the way home, of course!). It is so peaceful to walk in the cool, clear river water, and Frankie loves this outing just as much as the rest of us do! This is one of our summer favorite adventures, for sure!
Another activity that we always enjoy in the summer is going to a Vermont Lake Monsters game, so we finally made it to a game last week, but unfortunately it ended in a rain delay and a very soggy walk back to the car!
Noah's summer baseball season is continuing to roll along, and he also did quite a bit of biking and scootering around last week while he was home. He and his buddy Reed got the bike jump out and were catching some big air! It was a good warm-up for Noah, who is at mountain bike camp this week.

| I happened to pass by Mountain Bike campers and counselors on their way to get ice cream! Colby is a counselor and Noah is a camper, so it's sure to be a fun week! |
