Rediscovering Summer

It was a quieter week, as we returned from our travels and wrapped up Noah's baseball season.  His team lost their final game on Wednesday.  Noah personally played really well, throwing a runner out at 2nd when he was playing catcher, and hitting a fantastic double in one of his at-bats.  There was inevitable heartache after the game ended, knowing that this group of boys would be going their separate ways.  After spending nearly every day together for the past month, they've gotten tight!  Luckily, Noah also had baseball camp last week, so he didn't have to stop playing abruptly!

We have all had to take a minute to remember how to have free time again.  Evie hasn't had any dance practices, because they usually have the month of July off to recharge after nationals, and now Noah's baseball practices are done too.  We have felt a little aimless, but it has been fun to have time to catch up with friends, and get out and enjoy some of our favorite summer activities!  For our first free weekend, we went to Mills Riverside Park, and the boys went mountain biking, we got creemees at Palmer's, went to the movies, and had a fun bonfire with friends.

Gross, Frankie!

Evie and I picked blueberries!  The bushes are loaded this year!

And, we got to celebrate Carly and Grandpa Zeke's birthdays last week, as well!  It was fun to see everyone and celebrate together, especially after having to cut our family camp time short this year!  Happy Day, Every Day to two of our favorite people!
