St. Patrick's Day is always a big highlight of the spring for us with Evie's Irish dancing. This year, her shows began on Friday evening, and continued throughout the weekend and through last evening. Evie especially loves going back to her old elementary school to perform, as well as dancing at local pubs and seeing so many friends and family members at the shows. Most of her usual dance classes are focused on solo dances for competitions, but for St. Patrick's Day, they put together lots of group dances that they get to share with a wide variety of audiences. This year, they had a little bit of a blooper situation with the fire alarm going off at City Hall when they were dancing, so once the building was evacuated, the dancers and musicians kept the show going on Church Street. It was not how they expected the show to go, but it was a warm day, and lots of passersby stopped to enjoy the dancing and music! Great job to all the dancers for their beautiful dancing, stamina and energy throughout the many shows.
Meanwhile, we have had a few beautiful days that have given us quite a taste of Spring. Noah has immediately switched into baseball mode, and he can be found most days afterschool playing wiffle ball with as many kids as he can round up from the neighborhood. Occasionally, Mom and Dad get to play, too! There's nothing better than that warm spring sun and melting snow after a long winter!

We can't forget the lovely celebration of Pi Day! Matt had a pie contest at work, and made a homemade chocolate cream pie. He didn't win, but it sure was delicious! We all indulged in some delicious pie-themed goodies on 3/14.
